We’ve decided to get started on the first installment of a transmedia project designed for a child audience.
The project consists of a series of stories that will translate into multiple forms of media: storybook, animation, audio, mobile game, and various products. All of the stories in the series have been roughed in. The first we’ve decided to finalize is called The Kleptocatic Dream. It is a story about a megalomaniac feline who decides to conquer the world of man.
Once the final draft is finished, we will start illustrations. Then we’ll convert those to a still frame storybook narration–much like the bedtime story Go the Fuck to Sleep. From there we will design the motion animation and develop a rough animatic to take to our animator.
We are looking to get the game development started as soon as possible. We know it will be an on-going process involving strategic partners. We are looking to partner with people who share our vision for The Kleptocatic Dream.
Look for detailed updates on the progress of The Kleptocatic Dream and the beginnings of future titles in this series like The Deepest Ego, Dad Digs and The Boy Who Lived Under A Rock.
